Wisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle joins President Barack Obama to push for small business help

MADISON — Gov. Jim Doyle is joining with President Barack Obama in pushing Congress to pass a package of tax changes, credits and loans designed to help the small businesses.

Doyle was at the White House on Tuesday as part of National Small Business Week where small-business owners of the year were honored by the president.

Doyle said in a conference call with reporters after the event that Obama has shown a real concern and understanding of the needs of small business owners.

Doyle says he continually hears stories about small businesses that have survived the recession but are now read to grow again. He says the changes being sought by Obama will help those businesses get access to the money they need to grow.
